Booster Basics

General information for incoming families

I.)                    The Boosters support the band in financial operations, (fundraisers) day to day business, travel and activities, special projects and outreach.

II.)                   Plans for 2015-16 include the Hawaii Trip over spring break and an annual marching band retreat and parade September 13th and 14th. This overnight trip to the Dells is a culture building experience including an overnight stay at the Wilderness Lodge with full use of the facilities, a breakfast buffet at the World famous “Paul Bunyan’s restaurant and a pizza party/dinner at Saurento’s.

III.)                  ISA’s (Individual Student Accounts) are generated by student fundraising efforts such as sales, donations or scrip. This is a type of student bank account held through the boosters and the activity office.  Funds are reserved for the student to apply toward any approved band related expense or fee.  Account balances may be passed down to younger siblings as they come into the high school band.

IV.)                 Ways to become involved are numerous! Do you have any special skills, expertise, ideas or connections?  Consider helping out in: a position in any of our Band Booster Offices or in one of the many jobs that are critical to the successful running of a comprehensive band program.
